Separations Design Achieves Simplified Production Process, Exceeds 200% ROI
An international bioprocessing company had been meeting customer demand for sodium citrate by converting citric acid through a complex, multi-stage process that was inefficient and costly. EPS personnel were given the task of developing an alternative fermentation recovery scheme.
EPS personnel created a new fermentation recovery process that eliminated the impurities and increased product yield, while decreasing the number of steps in the process from 14 to seven.
